Gsm module sim900 is not connecting to network

Please help here, i'm working on a small project with, Arduino Uno and GSM SIM900 modules.

I just want to test my GSM module if its working or not.

So, connected it to external supply of 5V 2A.
I tried SIM from Different networks. Both LEDs are working .
Status LED is ON But the netlight LED on GSM module is blinking with a time period of almost 1sec, means it is not connecting to network.
So, I have applied sufficient supply and also tried on different networks, but its not working
What should be the possible solution for this
