Those switches can have really strange pinout connections, but yes of course there is. Main thing is to find out and document how the switch is wired, because they are not all the same, and then decide on how you want to use it.
Probably... Is it a 5-position rotary switch? Something you took out of a guitar?
Usually those things are not enclosed so you can actually see the contacts-connections but you can also check with an Ohmmeter (multimeter) .
With a "typical" rotary switch you can choose one of several connections so you could select one of 5 inputs or one of 5 outputs, etc.
...You could use a 5-way rotary switch to select 1-of-5 guitars (an input switch) or 1-of-5 amplifiers (an output switch).
But there are multi-pole switches and sometimes special-custom variations-configurations. Since your guitar probably doesn't have 5 pickups this might be something "special".
I have a rotary switch, but a guitar selector switch is better in shape for my application but I would need 4 outputs.
I haven't purchased one as yet.
Thanks

Most come as some form of double polar, with which quite a few possibilities can be created. Usually there is a way to detect which position the switch is. But get a double polar type.
I think all 5 way guitar selectors are 2 pole?
Another option, 2 poles 6 position.
