I'm working on an Engineering Capstone project and need to implement a controller for a heating element. My thought was to use Pulse Width Modulation with Arduino, although I'm not quite sure how to implement this with a 20 v power source. Any advice or references would be very helpful!
Use a suitable N channel mosfet to switch such loads, on the low side, which are greater than about 20mA and, therefore, too much for an Arduino pin.
This motor driver circuit should work, provided that the logic level MOSFET can handle the heater current. With a heater, the diode and capacitor are not required.
