Hi,
I am working with the GDEY029F51 E-Ink display from Good Display, and I have a few doubts:
Do we need to use a connector/adapter board, or can we directly interface with the 24-pin FPC connector?
Regarding SPI interfacing: I found sample code for the ESP32, but the display showed nothing.
I also tested the GxEPD library (though I think it doesn’t support this model), and it displayed partial/unclear output like
.
Could anyone please guide me on what I might be missing or the correct way to proceed for to display
?
You have a typo in your title.
For your questions see GDEY029F51 and GDEY029F51.pdf.
The website doesn’t mention the DESPI-C02 directly, unfortunately.
Your display is supported by GxEPD2.
Thankyou so much.
I intend to develop the adapter board circuit would like to confirm if this design will work properly? what are the things i need to focus?
Just follow the reference circuit you find in GDEY029F51.pdf.
Thankyou Sir/Mam.
I identified the circuit for the connector board, and now i am considering whether I should proceed with building the ESP32-L series development board myself. Could you please guide me on where I can find the official datasheet and reference documents for the ESP32-L series? Also, I would like to know if there are any specialized design considerations, component choices, or layout guidelines specific to the L-series boards that I should keep in mind before starting the design.
I suggest you go on a discovery tour on E Ink Display,ePaper Display,China LCD Manufacturer_GooDisplay.
With the ESP32 Development Kit with E Ink/E-Paper Driver Board - Wireless (WiFi/Bluetooth) - ESP32-L Series you still need a connection module, DESPI-C02.
But this page has all information you would need. Just scroll down a bit.
