I bought an RP-2040 board with an li-ion recharge manager and an MX 1.25 header. I was really excited to make a battery-powered project, but it has been a hassle finding batteries with an MX 1.25 connector.
I have batteries that are too large but have the right MX 1.25 connector, and I have bare-wire batteries in the right size. How do I connect an MX 1.25 connector to the bare wires?
That's helpful. So, after researching further, it sounds like I need MX 1.25 "crimp terminals" or "crimp connectors", a crimper, and an MX 1.25 "connector housing" (and soldering tools if I also want to solder). Is that about right?
Does anyone have any suggestions for acquiring these? MX 1.25 seems hard to come by near me. Stores near me with over 100 other connectors, including JST and larger Molex, do not have MX 1.25, and they have been hard to find on my local Ali-express equivalent.
Edit: One issue is that MX 1.25 seems to be listed as "JP 1.25" by online sellers. I may have found one, though I would still appreciate any tips, as sellers have previously cancelled my small-volume orders for similar headers.
