How can I localise GPS position (GSM) without GPS

Hello,

Once I saw an example to get the position with GSM antena. But, of course, I have not save it in my favorite.

I would like if someone know how to localise a module with no GPS antena, but with GSM.

Some has links and example?

Tks
Cheers

I'm not aware of any way to do that, apart from looking up your cell ID against a database of known cells.

maybe interresting informations here

It's the location of the closest tower and the approximation of hops to your cell phone.

And many other results from googling " Use GSM to location".

That's just a gizmo, your placing dependancies on google, that gprs is stable, that your telco won't block its carrier signal or increase its latency.
You really need to talk to a groundsperson, one that knows cdma & can tell you how to decipher the gsm packet headers.
