I have high BP and anxiety. Being a cop wasn't good for my health and left me with these wonderful medical problems.
I'd like to monitor my heart (pulse) and anxiety. There's a heart sensor I think and a sensor for lie detection ( I get cold sweats when the panic attack start) which I think would be great to get in front of my panic attacks by giving a little warning. I also want it to send data to me via email or something so I can track it and show my doctors what my history is during the visits.
I want to make it rather unnoticeable because I don't want to answer a lot of questions. I can do that once I create the circuits but need to understand wearables to do so. I've dabbled a little with the Arduino Uno but don't have a lot of experience with it. Can someone help with sketches, code et al, or point me to where I can find it on my own?
This would be extremely difficult for a beginner to implement, especially for something that you would wear and carry with you most of the time.
To get an idea of what is possible, first look to see what sort of pulse sensors and other sorts of monitors are commercially available.
There do exist unobtrusive devices that one can wear 24/7 to monitor and record heart electrical signals, but the ones I have seen are read out later, in the doctor's office.
Yes. MY wife had one stuck on her chest for a week. Had to keep track of fainting spells with date/time, so the problem could be matched to the recording.
