I tried to connect esp8266 to arduino uno. this way please check image for reference  and is this connection correct ? please let me know how to connect this esp8266 to arduino also please provide samplite for this.
if you connect them this way, you block the USB on booth. but yes this is the common way. you should use level sifter for the connection to nodemcu RX pin for long term connection.
better is to use SPI connection. it requires more pin connections and more level shifters but leaves Serial for USB.
