i'm building an arduino severino s3v3 as shown on the arduino site
my question is where to find the boot loader file first and wich kind of rs232 cable i have to use for it.
i have an avr serial programmer.
can i use on this board the atmega328?

I use a USBtiny connected to the ICSP header to burn bootloader's onto Atmega328P chips using the Arduino Aplication:
Tools > Board > Select your board here (determines which boot-loader)
Tools >Burn bootloader > w/ USBtiny.
you can find the schematics for USBtiny here: USBtinyISP - Inexpensive USB AVR Programmer
or you can use any AVR programmer the bootloaders are in the Arduino folder (hex file! .hex).
