I have 2 available types of servos, sg90 micro servos and the S4303R servos. I want to hook one up to a dvd player unit. The spindle on the servos is very fine geared which are using for mounting the adapters, which I dont need. How can I connect the servo to the gear pinions on the dvd unit? I also have some gears from an old toy that got taken apart (marked in blue):
Ok, What is stopping you?

Well the teeth on the servo spindle are too small and don't fit the teeth on the gears I have.

The you need to get gears that will fit one or the other.

Well I've seen that if you take apart a servo it has gears inside which from pictures look like they might fit my Dvd-unit gears. But I'm wondering if I remove the top from a servo, will those gears pop out!?
Or will they stay in place such that I can connect them? I'm wondering because I don't want to open the servo up if the gears might spring out everywhere when I open it.
This site has many different gear sets that are made to work together.
I am guessing you have not researched how to define gears and teeth. Count the number of teeth and divide that into the circumference of the gear. That will give you the pitch. With exceptions based on tooth shape, that will tell you which gears will mesh together. Most all plastic gears have identical tooth shapes.
