How to interpret this pushbutton switch schematic?

Hi all,

I want to use this switch in a simple PCB. I can't order the switch first to test which pins connect to which.

I don't understand the dotted lines? When the push button is pressed does 1>4, 2>5, 3>6?

Thanks for your help.

do you have a link to the part specification?

Looks like in one position pins 1/2 and pins 4/5 are shorted together. When the switch is in the other position pins 2/3 and 5/6 are shorted together.

An Ohm meter will confirm the buttons actions.

It's a latching switch if that helps.

Yes it seems like the middle two pins might always be connected?

The middle 2 pins seems to be the common. An Ohm meter would confirm.
