How to use ardruino in big toy car

So i am converitng an big toy rc car into a Bluetooth car using ardruino uno, hc05 and ln298n motor driver module .The motor in the toy car is 12 volts. When i connected the motor to the 12v battery it was struggling to go forward when there was weight on it. So i used a 15 volt battery and it worked but I'm not sure if ardruino uno can handle that. I am new to ardruino so what should I do? The Toy car is half the size of a fridge.

Is the car supposed to have weight on it?

Are you talking about applying 15V to the VIN pin? The UNO tech specs indicate that VIN should be between 7V and 12V.

Is this a toy electric car that a child sits in?

That driver is too weak for a big toy car.

That's it! Get a stronger MOSFET based motor driver.

It's not a matter of size what an Arduino can handle. If it works for a small toy car then only the environment has to be upgraded: motors, drivers, PSU...

Yes

Can you please send me MOSFET based motor driver link or image I'll buy it

Not the vin pin, the gnd and vcc pin

Hi, @doksh
Welcome to the forum.

What are the specs of the motors?
Do they have a part number?

What was the old controller?
Can you post a picture of it so we can see what it was using for motor drivers.

Do you have a DMM?

What size battery was the original setup using?

The performance of the old setup will help to decide on new setup components.

Thanks.. Tom.. :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Any one that does not use the old L298N chip.
The exact board depends on your motor voltage and stall current.

Im using that only

It is a 12v old dc motor i took the toy car which is designed for child sitting in it and replaced the old rc board with ardruino uno and motors because i want to control it with hc05 Bluetooth. The car is manufactured by Bosanjaio a Chinese company

I also removed the old 12v battery and replaced it with another lithium battery (the images are old so it doesn't show the new changes )

This is the image of the motor
