Huge current drop with L298N?

Along with the huge current drop that you memtioned, if you see the L298N IC burning hot, then possibly it is damaged and needs a replacement.

nah it's not hot but it is producing a hissing sound(i still didn't do the experiment this is just 9v)

Well, if you ever want this thing to work, you will need to buy the correct batteries.
Two 3.7V Li-ion batteries in series would be best.
Six AA batteries in series would also be good.
Six NiMh in series is also good.

9V batteries cannot provide enough current to drive 4 motors

If you have a 9V DC adaptor, you could use it for experimenting with your design

i don't have anyone of these the battery's i have are 2 9v everready batterys and 2 energizer AA batterys

but i know it's possible to combine 2 batterys

If you don't want to buy batteries, then I guess that is the end of the project.

Yes, as I mentioned you can connect two 3.7V Li-ion batteries in series, it will provide enough current to drive 4 motors.

i did it i created a 13 VOLTS power source AND I CAN CREATE EVEN MORE!

only thing remaining is to test if it's enough....

hey guys,sorry for the wait but i did it.i solved it the battery did give enough voltage and now it can walk on the ground and if i want to increase the speed i can just combine even more battterys

If these are 9V smoke alarm batteries, I predict this will not work for long...
