I am pretty new in this field and I wanted to upload my first sketch on my Esp32 Cam but it didn´t work

This is my first project and I am using the esp 32 cam. I already replaced all the cables and checked them many times. I also checked the cable I am using and it has an symbol on it taht says it can transfer data.

Sketch uses 1072373 bytes (81%) of program storage space. Maximum is 1310720 bytes.
Global variables use 50436 bytes (15%) of dynamic memory, leaving 277244 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 327680 bytes.

When I was starting out with ESP32-CAM, I found this tutorial to be helpful, and suggest to follow it very carefully.

I've moved your topic from IDE 1.x to a more suitable location on the forum.

When it says Connecting do you press and hold the BOOT button?

Thnak you for your advise i followed every step carefully but it´s still not working and the green LED blinks while trying to upload now

Yes I believe you mean the reset button I tried holding it while connecting and now after I tried it again my ftdi module blinks green (I´ve changed the cables but I should be right)

NO, BOOT button. Boot is on right Reset is on left.

Make sure you have the right voltage selected. Also search Amazon for MB board, that will make your life much easier, the esp32cam is a b*tch to work with without it.

Thank you for the reminder for the voltage I didn`t change the pin on the ftdi to 5V and now i´ve been able to upoad my scetch but it doesn´t work. The serial Monitor shows these symbols over and over RfgFjRfgFjRfgFj I also tried to use the excample web server but it gives similar smybols so it´s probably not a software problem

also the ftdi constanlty blinks green when plugged int the pc

Have you made sure the baud rate in the sketch Serial.begin(115200); is the same as the baud rate in the Serial monitor see pic

thank you so much at least the camera webserver works now maybe i´ll try the other project some other time but thank you so much i´ve watsched dozen of tutorials and none of them mentioned these things you carried me

In car racing terms, maybe you should first learn what all the driver controls are called, how they work, why they do what they do and how you can programmatically control them. Starting with a camera web server is like racing in the world championship. You need to learn how to open the door first. Good luck.
