Interfacing ESP wroom-02u module

I am seeing many posts about this but i am not clear on if I can directly program this via an ftdi serial adapter and Aduino IDE or do I need an ESP dev board ?
If latter is the case then I have a working Node32s dev board , can I use it?

the article is talking about pressing the "Enable" button but the circuit diagram is showing only buttons... "Boot" and "Reset"
some articles i came across web showing only pulling the IO0 pin to GND is sufficient to flash the wroom module. . can it be done ?

are you looking at articals on programming the ESP-01 which short GPIO-0 to ground to program it otherwise it is in run mode?

are you using a module based on the ESP wroom-02u (if so give details) or have you built a PCB based on the ESP wroom-02u ?

I have bought Wroom-02u module that I want to program either with FTDI adapter or with the Node32s that i have and working .
can you give me solutions for both ways?
also in Arduino I do see node32s and other boards but I dont see 'wroom-02u" so if i use FTDI how and which board i will select from Arduino?

here is the article i found online where the nodeMcu board is being used to program the wroom-02u . The article is not showing the enable pin on the nodeMCU . I have the same board and if i look at the schematics I dont see any enable pin.
If i can find this enable pin i think my issue will be resolved.

oh I found the EN symbol on the nodeMCU dev board and its right above RESET switch , does it mean RESET pin is ENABLE pin?
i cant attach picture or it would be very helpful in understanding

as I dig deeper i found more questions , one of the posts mentioning "Firmware " to be flashed on to the wroom-02u.
So now I have two issues:
1- how to flash the Wroom module
2- how to program the Wroom module

should i open separate post for each?
