iPad 2 LCD Display Module to HDMI Adapter Source

I have successfully (I hope) removed the LCD display from my first iPad. It is part # LTN097Xl02-A01. I intend to repurpose it for an HDMI display for a Raspberry Pi.

There are many choices for such an adapter online. My question is does anyone have a suggestion as to a reliable source for such and adapter.

It turned out there weren’t that many choices for my particular display so I ordered this one. Hopefully I didn’t damage the display when removing it but if I did I’m only out $30.

Do you have a link for the adapter?
Can it work with touch?

Controller link

I ruined the touch overlay when I opened mine. It would require an additional board to control the touch screen.

What is that?
Any resources for salvaging and reusing the screen?

There is a capacitive or resistive transparent film over the screen that does the touch encoding. I destroyed it on mine. You can probably buy something similar.

There are YouTube tutorials. I didn’t save any of the links.

Thanks! wondering if it will work with newer iPads.
Maybe could buy one for cheap. Or just get a display.

It would have to be pretty cheap to make it economical to do. Then there’s always the chance it wont survive the surgery. :grinning:

Or I could get just the replacement screen.........
But if that is the case I should just get a proper display.
