Is Arduino used in each and every robot?

Is Arduino used in each and every robot? Like for example robots of Boston dynamics?

I moved your topic to an appropriate forum category @abtj.

In the future, please take some time to pick the forum category that best suits the subject of your topic. There is an "About the _____ category" topic at the top of each category that explains its purpose.

This is an important part of responsible forum usage, as explained in the "How to get the best out of this forum" guide. The guide contains a lot of other useful information. Please read it.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Thanks alot

Microcontrollers are used in pretty much all robots. Arduino is a type of microcontroller, but not all microcontrollers are Arduino. I doubt Boston Dynamics use Arduinos.

But in your other topic you said you believe only PLC are used in practical applications, so why would you say Boston Dynamics would use Arduino?

@abtj,

Your duplicate topic on the same subject deleted. Your question makes little sense, and posting the same thing multiple times means you are heading for a suspension.

Thank you.

No.
First, Arduino is a circuit board that has an ATmel processor. If I designed my own board and uses the same processor that one of the Arduino's uses, my board would not be an Arduino.

There are literally 100's of processors on the market that could be used for such an application. I'm pretty confident Boston Dynamics does not use a Arduino board but a likely a custom board with multiple processors.

All robots used in industrial areas have extensive safety checks and devices. Many are trainable, meaning they can be programmed to remember and reply their movements based on the time it takes for the movement. Moreover multiple movements are made at the same time. All this is way beyond what an Arduino is capable of.
My former company had two Mydata pick and place machines, which can be considered robots. I don't know the processor, but they ran under a real-time LENUX operating system. Most, if not all industrial robots would need the same power,

That is like asking do all bikes worldwide have electric motors?
