Issues in using mpx2100ap pressure sensor

Yes, so for a given container of constant cross-sectional area, you can say that the pressure is proportional to the weight, but not equal to the weight of water.

amine-11_trisity was correct in post #28, saying that the pressure is given by:

That span is with an excitation of 10 volt.
It is 20mV when powered from 5volt.
That's 20 uV per cm of water.

Hopefully not with common op-amps, like the LM358.

Maybe not is more likely.
From the data sheet:
"The absolute sensor is designed for vacuum applied to P1 side."

Why not use the correct sensor?

The teacher should have given you these sensors (click).
0-40kPa gauge, and HX710 instrumentation amplifier with 24-bit A/D included.

i got this sensor (0-40kpa ) from the store today hoping that it will fit my project

is the digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor Module a good solution !!

If you have the module with the sensor and HX710 chip, then it will work.
The sensor has digital outputs, so use a HX710 (or HX711).
Leo..

yes i have it , do you know how this sensor works!! does it sense the atmospheric pressure!! or it is a gauge!! some people said it is 30kpa to 110kpa span !! unfortunately there is no datasheet for this sensor

It's a gauge sensor, one end open to the atmosphere, exactly what you need.
Last time I used one I used the HX710.h library.
I helped someone making a fuel (depth) sensor in this thread (post 100+).
Pressure difference when dipping the end of the hose in a glass of water worked very well.
Leo..

Does it look like this

Yes it is!!

It will work. It has a range of 0 to 40kPa
Then you are all set to go!

Thanks, well then i will work on it today then i will provide a feedback about the overall project

Thank you so much , that post helps me a lot

You will need to install this library
