Does any one know if a JST XH 2.5 female connector will fit on 2.54 male headers ?
I think that 2.54mm pitch is a standard, those female headers are also 2.54mm, so it should fit nicely. I just found a thread about it https://www.eevblog.com/forum/manufacture/what-is-the-real-pitch-of-jst-xh/
More or less. Measuring from the centre pin you're only out about 0.003" by the end pin - less than the thickness of a sheet of paper. But a picture's worth a thousand words, so:
JST pins are specified at 2.5 mm, and that's what they are.
The difference is so small though that at least 5 or 6 pin connectors will fit just fine on a 0.1"/2.54mm header.
I would prefer though to use the male XH headers on the PCB, if only because they're keyed so it fits only one way. Those headers again solder just fine on a standard 0.1" pitch breadboard.
