I ordered this fine looking board, and I think it's really nice. However it utilises 2x7 0.05 pitch connectors. I have a hard time finding a box connector for this that I can use with a flat ribbon cable and breakout board, that I can then connect to the power and sensors I want to use with this controller. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
For now, I can only connect 2 plugs that came with it for I2C/UART that have female Dupont connectors on the other end.
I am not sure what your problem is. I see standard connectors. Is it the Grove connectors (white) that is bothering you?
No, look at those black 2x7 female headers on the back. They have a 1.27mm/0.05" pitch, and I have a hard time finding connectors for them. Especially the breakout boards available for them are too large for my purpose.
I can find a good 2x5 breakout board, but box connectors in that size are harder to come by, let alone from the same store.
Lot's on Amazon and Adafruit.
Sorry, I have a hard time finding them. Do you have a link? I'm specifically looking for the 0.05 pitch 2x5 box headers, or anything other that's suitable to interface with.
I just googled '1.27mm pitch GPIO'
Why do you want 2x5, the headers I see are 2x7 see attached pics.
Your best source is likely AdaFruit. Enter '1.27mm pitch' in the Adafruit search box for a list of products. Perhaps the best though is DigiKey (see attached)
The 2x7 breakout boards are too large for my project, like I said. Realistically, I'm only going to connect 5 pins (including 5V + gnd).
Adafruit is a great store, found everything there, except the box connectors I bought from eBay just a minute ago.
I probably should have mentioned I live in the Netherlands, anything in the USA will have high shipping + long wait time for me. Regardless, given that Ada had more that I needed they're worth it.
