KNH3 RS485 7 IN 1 soil sensor in aquaponics

Hello just wanna ask some questions, is there someone tried to use the KNH3 RS485 7 IN 1 soil sensor for Aquaponics System? Just a curious question that if its possible to use the said sensors since there are parameters that I need there for aquaponics system but it uses water instead of soils.

Sure, but the sensor advertisements are essentially fraudulent, and measurements are not particularly meaningful in either soil or water.

What were you hoping to measure?

Ph, humidity, ec, temperature but for water

If you are serious about measuring pH, get a pH meter.

All the 7-in-1 sensor is good for is conductivity. It really is a piece of junk to be avoided.

Thank you Sir

Also, there are good thermometers for water at few $ and for humidity there's no need for sensor...

Thank you Sir.

This Arduino compatible conductivity meter works reasonably well and also comes with standard conductivity test solutions, so you can actually believe the readings!

This hand held sensor (not Arduino compatible) is more expensive, but includes a temperature sensor and has guaranteed accuracy. It is the one I use and recommend, for example for well water conductivity measurements.

Thank you Sir planning to use DFRobot brand sensors for my projects too
