Cant be bothered to read past responses. Can anyone help to solve the display issue. (seen many having problems with this display - (maybe the manufaturers need to dig into this) all connections are fine, sketch fine, display only 16 boxes (blue light) NOT characters. i have no potentiometer. Have used other LCDs didn't have an issue. any short solution? thanks.

Run a LCD tutorial to gain the knowledge.
i did a lot! and got to the stage of displaying blue boxes!! what i need is to go from there to characters. any specific tutorial you recommend? or can you write one specific to this problem? outlining reasons for this - as i said i used LCDs before - no issues at all. thx 4 ur response.
