LED strip ID?

Is anybody able to ID this led strip (photo attatched). I bought a 5M reel of RGB leds and got sent this weird one instead.

They are segments of 3 5050 leds with a chip per segment, except the first segment only had a secondary chip which I assume was responsible for the random sequences it carried out.

All the info I have is that each chip says 2811, and when programmed via the arduino(s) its colour order is BRG.

It's not ws2811 in the traditional sense, at least I dont think so, as nothing on the internet appears to match what ive got. Any ideas?

It will be the 2811 chip from world semi, just try running the Adafruit examples!

Datasheet for the 2811

Thanks for the reply! Theres a lot of adafruit libraries I notice... any particular one?

Sorry about the missing photo, some problem with my account I assume as im rather new lol ..

No, the problem is with attaching the photo. Must be in .png or .jpg format.

It just tells me I need to contact a forum administrator?

As it turns out the adafruit library works well... however my led strip does not lol. Most of them flicker, and alot of them are different colours when doing the string tests. Guess they really are the cheapest of the cheap lol

There can be many reasons for the flickering. Post a schematic and the code you are running.
