Linear Actuator by firgelli L12 but which one?

Hi

Im new to the arduino and and just got my self a duo.

Now what i want to do is use it to lift up a 1.5kg weight which is hinged at the front and therefore lift up the back.

Now which Linear Actuator by firgelli L12 do i need? and do i need anything else?

thanks

From that description, we can't pick an actuator for you. You need to know what distance, what leverage, what mounting points and more.

You will need a motor shield to drive the actuator. Almost any shield will probably have the current capability that your actuator requires. You will also need a power supply with sufficient current output.

Then what else do you expect the Arduino to do? Is there a button to control this thing? A switch so it knows when the actuator lifted far enough? Maybe an LCD display or more sensors?

Thanks for reply.

Basically what im trying to do is tilt a dslr and control the zoom on the lens fro a touch screen monitor connected to my pc.

Distance of travel need to be about 30mm and would simply push up and down.as for leverage im not too sure. Will need it to travel slowly.

As for controlling it i would like to use my touch screen monitor i have on my pc. Can this be used?

As to what else i want it to do is to control another servo for the zoom on the camera which would be connected with a belt.
