My electronics professor has recently got an arduino M0; It is original as it has the regular arduino box and everything, but looking on the net for informations I couldn't find many informations; someone on the forum sait it is not from anduino, and the website is "Arduino labs" or something instead of just "Arduino"; I've read of some legal issues in the society of arduino, I'm not sure where to look at.
The problem is that when connected to a pc, the board's drivers are not found by windows; usually for my uno I download the drivers etc, but I can't find downloads for the M0, the website asks to download a different IDE but the arduino IDE has an of option for the M0 board.
My prof asked me for help, and I'm asking you, m0 possessor, how do you use it on windows?
Making a good impression could open the way of arduino in my scool...
right now I don't have photos,and google helps only by suggesting shops and not informations;
actually I have found this page here on the arduino website, that has a link to arduino labs (?) with some examples...
but I can't find anything about drivers, and I can't do as usual downloading anf trying everything until I succeed, because I have a limited time with the board and also my school's PCs are very slow and same for internet.
You should probably try to get help on arduino.org as that is their product. You can contact customer service and they have a forum section specifically for that product. The processor is the same as used in the Arduino.cc Zero but I don't know if it is compatible with the arduino.cc IDE when used as that board it might be worth a try. You may need to use the arduino.org IDE instead. I would recommend to your professor to buy arduino.cc IDE compatible products because there is much stronger community support. Most people on this forum are not as familiar with the arduino.org products and the arduino.org forum has much less users and their IDE is under less active development.
sorry, but what is arduino.com? I mean, surely now there are more arduinoS companies, if you or someone else could tell me the difference or a good source to understand what they are?
Also my prof got it as a gift from a magazine, he had no choice.
The current IDE shows an option for M0 board, shouden't it be supported?
First of all I said arduino.org, not arduino.com.
Here are some articles that give the story:
There is a post on arduino.org that explains their side of the story but I'm not going to link to it from here.
If your IDE shows an option for the M0 board then you are using the arduino.org IDE. You're trying to get support for a board and software made by arduino.org on arduino.cc. You're in the wrong place. If you have questions that aren't specifically about arduino.org then you will find this forum much more helpful.
