Hi all, first post
Any idea if the Mega in the images is genuine? I just bought it from a supposedly reputable electronics store.
The MEGA logo in the oval shape doesn't look the same as in the pictures and the polyfuse is different to the one shown on the "Counterfeit" page.
Also two of the headers are soldered very crooked.
If it's worth anything, it works with the Arduino USB drivers and shows up in device manager as "Arduino Mega 2560 (Com 22)"
My genuine Mega has
ARDUINO.CC
MADE IN ITALY
printed to the top left of the Atmega 2560 chip and the printing on the back is completely different. However mine is a few years old.
Note that there is nothing illegal about making clones of an Arduino board as long as the manufacturer does not pretend that it is a genuine board.
