Metro Mini Connection Problem

Hey, guys.

I recently bought a metro mini, soldered all the pins on it, downloaded the arduino software onto my computer and plugged it in.. But the software cannot detect it on my computer. I have a attached 3 images and I cannot figure out what else to do.

The board lights up: "ON" light is green and steady, and the "L" light is orange and consistently blinking. I am pulling 5V from the 5V lead and 3V from the 3V lead, so I know that is working as well.

When you look at the program, it keeps telling me to select a port. But when I go to the tools drop down menu, the port option is grayed out and I cannot do anything. Also, when I go to board manager, there are no bundles that include the "Metro Mini", I can only find one with the Arduino Mini.

If anyone can help me out with this, that would be incredible appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Are you using Windows? If so, does anything show up in Device Manager when you plug the board in?

Yeah im using windows 10 64 bit. And no, nothing is showing up yet.

So there's not even an Unknown Device showing up in the Device Manager? That implies that the CP2104 USB-Serial adapter is faulty, since the computer isn't picking it up at all.

Just went to adafruits website and went to the product page (instead of amazon) and saw that drivers are required for the computer to pick it up. Downloaded and installed the drivers and I'm up and running. Feel kind of dumb now... Haha but I appreciate the help!
