MKR 1010 port not found

Hi all, im actually having issues with this MKR Wifi 1010 board. Had it replaced since i thought it could be hardware fault but i still am unable to detect in any port. Tried the bootloader solution i saw previously but it still doesn't change a thing.. any suggestions?

by 'bootloader solution" you mean the double reset?

Yeah, tried the double reset but doesnt work

the LED doesn't pulse after the double reset?

it does pulse but i am still unable to upload anything

did you try to select the com port in the Tools menu after activating the bootloader with double reset?

yes, selected and tried all the available com ports i have under tools but all had the same results of not detecting any board at ports

the MKR 1010 WiFi would show the name of the board next to the com port in Tools menu.
check you USB cable. it could be power only.

Do complete Uninstall Arduino IDE and then re-install the Arduino IDE (use Arduino IDE 2.0.4) and use a good quality data USB cable to connect the board to the computer Avoid using USB hub. Charging/bad USB cable will make it impossible for your computer to detect your board. If these does not work, try connecting it to a different computer.

Hey man, i went to try with a different cable and it works now! thanks a lot

However, now that i can detect it in the port, when i upload a code it still says "No device found"

it changes the port number. select the new port.

Im actually using a usb-c to usb adapter, not sure if that affects the connection of my board. I managed to upload a code using another laptop..

Yea I'm having he same problem. No ports will appear and I've tried all the suggested "solutions".

I got it connected by using a new USB to micro USB cord and also installing the universal FTDI VCP driver from the FTDI website.
