I have a question about connecting the motors to the motor shield. At first, I connected the IR receiver for remote control and unfortunately motor 1 and motor 2 did not work. I realized that it was because it uses the same timer. I looked on YouTube and I see that someone connected everything to motor 3 and motor 4. Is it safe? Can I do this or do I have to be careful not to give it max speed or something like that? I have the same setup as in the screenshot.
You would need to look up the stall current of the motors, multiply by 2 and that value should be lower than the max. current specification of the H bridge.
If those batteries are of 1.5V type, then this schematic will not work...
Your H-bridge needs around 9V to work properly.
I have 8xAA so 12V
That is good!
You will lose about 4 volts through the L293D so you will wind up with about 8 volts on the motors. This will cause to burn about 1/3 of your batteries power as heat. Consider looking for a MOSFET bridge it will not have that loss.
I connect also powerbank to USB from Arduino and it works, so can it be? (8xAA + powerbank). I know that this L293D is not great but I would stay with it for now
You have it, have fun!
