My PC does not recognized the Arduino Uno Q

Hello,

I just bought a new Arduino Uno Q. I would like to get help.
What I did:

  • Installed the Arduino App Lab.
  • Unboxed the Arduino Uno Q.
  • Connected Arduino Uno Q to PC via USB-C cable (This cable works well with Uno R4)

Then Arduino Uno Q:

  • Keeps displaying a swirling animation the shape of the Arduino logo.
  • After 20 minutes, the board still display a swirling animation the shape of the Arduino logo. There is NO heartbeat animation.

I checked the device manager:

  • There is NO COM port
  • There is NO "QUSB_BULK"

And Arduino App Lab keeps showing: No board found.

Could anyone please point out any step I missed?

Is your USB-C cable capable of providing at least 3A? Is the port on the computer capable of providing the same?

The UNO Q has much higher power requirements than a UNO R4 and requires a "USB-C® cable providing 5 VDC 3 A". Ideally this should be at least a USB3.0 PD cable.

Pls, dont't forget to make safe shut down of your UNO Q before taking out the USB-C cable from the board.
