I bought Arduino nano for my project (Quadricopter).
I have already made ??the first connection to the PC and everything worked properly, I loaded the SAMPLE "flash" and run the program properly.
my problem is when the nano interface with the Shield! (so far I only powered through USB cable ..)
problem: if I turn on the NANO when it is grafted onto the Shield, this works but it heats up exponentially! in less than a minute reaches more than 50 ° C (without connecting anything to the Shield).
What can be!? incompatibility between the two pieces!? and 2 are all original!
I'm 100% sure that you have not short-circuit, I have not yet connected to anything except the usb cable ..
No, I have not tried to contact support (if there is, I have not looked to see if any) I hoped was a thing already happened, but few answers seeing (the only answer) almost now try to contact support and I see what they say to me ...

Well either a (near) short is causing excessive current draw or during soldering you burned up one of the chips on the Nano.
Not sure what else to tell you. I'm still not sure WHAT you are doing or what this shield is you are using.
I just checked with my tester.. (for see if there is anything on short-circuit)
I check the sheild without the nano, I checked only the pin plug and I can saw only 2 pairs of pin on short circuit (RST -> RST ; GND -> GND) and this is correct...
Can I make other test..?
I think that since there are no short circuits, the only problem that remains may be a resistance value that is too small or the only capacitor that has problems ...
