Need help choosing the best touch screen

Hi all, I am new here, this being my first post.

To the point, I am working on a project using a mega2560 and have come to the point where I need an interface to allow setup of the system and allow monitoring of various live values from sensors.

A touch screen is the only really viable option now for me but the problem is I am already using a lot of pins (analogue 1,2,3,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 and Digital 24 to 42) so I am looking for a touch screen with minimum of pins, for now price and size is not relevant for this discussion as I would like to be able to consider all available options currently available.

Can any please help with this and point me in the right direction, I have been looking for several hours now and can’t find anything.

Hello and welcome :slight_smile:

An alternative to those costly, low res, slow displays with resistive touchscreens... is to use a cheap android smartphone (or tablet) with Bluetooth, make a custom app, and communicate with your arduino with a Bluetooth Serial module (such as the HC-05 which need only 2 pins on your arduino).
