piezo buzzer minimum voltage

I'm looking at

What is the minimum voltage that is required to drive this buzzer or a similar piezo buzzer? The datasheet states that it is a maximum of 25V p-p, and it draws 4.5mA at 5V p-p, but I need to know if 2.7V is enough.

Well page 4 of their "training manual" give a voltage range of 3volts up to 250v depending on model. So your 2.7 is marginal, but it will probably make some kind of squeek.

Thanks for that, I should have read it

I am mainly concerned about any properties of the piezo element that would give it a minimum voltage (analogous with the voltage drop of diodes at the P-N junction)

Piezo, despite semiconductors, don't have minimum voltage, so they start to operate at 0.
