Hello, I would like to ask you about how can I start a little PMSM motor in sensorless mode using arduino UNO ? which kind of signal I can send to the inverter ??

WE need a little more information. What is a PMSM motor. if you want to control a motor controller post the part number or a link to the unit.

So the little motor I was talking about is as we can see in the following link:

and the board I got is a shield based on L6230 driver (max. 12 V DC) .... PMSM is an abbreviation for permanent magnet synchronous motor ...... I would llike to ask about the startup method I have to program into arduino UNO to start the motor in sensorless mode ....

PMSM same as BLDC, 3phase motor, needing a controller to run.

Yes, It is the board I got :slight_smile: . Moreover, I know that it is necessary a microcontroller board to run that motor, for this reason I would like to use ARDUINO UNO, but how can I start-up the motor ? which kind of signals I have to send to the driver ? and how can I generate them, for sensorless mode???

Hi,
Have you done any research, google UNO L6230 driver

You will be surprised whathelp there is, try E14 or element14 for a start.

The driver board is designed to plug into a UNO, if you read the data/spec sheet.
