Power regulator caught on fire but the board still works

sooo I'm making a 3d printer and I happened to make big mistake and didn't connect the end stop wires correctly to the board and the power regulator caught on fire.
the xyz motors works fine when plugged in and connected to my laptop. but i noticed that without the laptop connection the green lights aren't ON. i don't know if i can keep using the board or should i replace it.
or replace the power regulator MC33269D-5.0

the power through usb directly connected to 5v pin bypassing the linear voltage regulator that you had burned. so, it would with usb or any regulated 5v power supply connected to 5v
you can change that linear voltage regulator(+cap), and it would work fine
