Hello everybody,
I am working at my home made project, in which i wanted to power up Atmega 2560 with Bss138, I used the following circuit to level shift up, But the voltage at 5V (Output) is only 2.7V.
As far as i know, Atmega 2560 will only work on 5V
Post a schematic of your circuit. The wording of your post does not explain what you are trying to interface to the mega with the BSS138, and your use of the wording "power up ATmega2560" raises questions about the correctness of your approach. Such wording would not be used by anyone with experience with electronics since the BSS138 is a level shifter not a boost converter and there IS no "5V output" in the circuit you attached thus leads one to question your approach (circuit connections). It is obvious that the BSS138 can only level shift DOWN, NOT up, so the problem is not the BSS138, but rather a misunderstanding of what it is designed to do. To level shift FROM 3.3V TO 5V requires a different level shifter ( CD4050 CMOS to TTL converter etc).
This, coupled with the absence of any details regarding what you are trying to interface to the Mega leaves one wondering what you are doing or how you are doing it. A complete schematic would clear this up.
