Powering UNO R4 Wi-Fi with 6 volts

I'm planning to Power my Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi with 4x 1.5 volts (6 Volts). Can I do it using the VIN pin? and is the schematic the same as connecting a battery to the VIN pin in the UNO R3?

6V is the minimum input, so you are operating right on the edge.
Better to use 6 x 1.5V = 9V.

Recommended Input voltage (VIN) is 6-24V.

So it will not damage the board if I use it right at 6 volts right?

No it won't damage the board but it will probably only run for a few minutes.
