Hello, I am using Arduino board with Arduino shield, 2 drv8825, 3 jampers for each driver, 2 stepper motor nema 17 2.8 kg/cm 1.7A, 80w laser module and the power supply 12V 15A. My stepper driver doesn't work any more and before of that I had problem with function of the cnc machine. I think it's due to high amperage and making high temperature. What is your opinion about using drv8825 for this system, it's suitable or not? And if not which stepper driver do you suggest?

How much current are you drawing from the 12V 15A supply?
Do you have a DMM?
I am worried about the gauge of wire I can see in your picture, it doesn't look thick enough.
Can you please post a copy of your circuit a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png?
Hand drawn and photographed is perfectly acceptable.
Please include ALL hardware, power supplies, component names and pin labels.

The DRV8825s could be OK if you had much larger heat sinks, a high velocity cooling fan blowing air in the right direction and you set the current linit to 1.5A or less.
