Hello. When I connected all the jumper wires and resistor in the breadboard, along with the two switches in parallel, when I pushed the second switch (the one nearer to the LED) it turned on. However, when I tried pushing the first switch, the LED didn't turn on. I replace the connectors and the switch, but only the second one makes the LED turn on. Is there something wrong in the way I connected the circuit?
Hi, @beeguiled
Welcome to the forum.
Those buttons are not connected in parallel.
Move the black wire as shown.
Make sure the tactile buttons are properly inserted into the protoboard sockets.
Do you have a DMM?

Yes, it is mis-wired.
I don't know what's a DMM sorry. I'll rewire the circuit.
