I have a couple of projects that I'm ready to go to production with. Can anyone recommend a PCB manufacturer that can take my existing PCB's (I made the Fritzing software) and reduce that to using Surface Mount components with the components already installed?
If you made the board with through hole components then the PCB manufacturer will use through hole components. If you want SMD then you need to make your board with SMD.
Can Fritzing generate gerber files? If not, then such a projects is not suitable for PCB manufacturing, all manufacturers require gerber files.
PCB manufacturers are not going to design a PCB for you, but there are consultants who will do that. Sounds like you are needing someone to design a PCB in something like KiCad, and provide Gerbers and a BOM so that manufacturer like JLCPCB could make an assembled board. There are also contract assemblers who will do that.
There are some good, low cost and quick manufacturers of PCBs out there, normally they accept Gerber files.
But it sounds like you are really after someone to design a custom PCB from a schematic ?
I do design my own PCBs, have done for years, but I would be intersted to know the commercial cost of having someone else do it for me.
You first must find a consultant to convert the board to SMD before considering a board mfg.
I suggest you go to the Kicad forum and ask there for someone to $$ design your new board.
You will also need a bill of material showing the EXACT distributor part number for each SMD component. Use Digikey as one possible distributor.
