Recommendation needed for best sensor for my purpose

Hello everyone.

I am busy making a new project where a person can shoot at a target with a BB gun (toy gun that shoots plastic balls). When the target is shot at, it needs to activate the servo to move the target down. I just need to know which is the best sensor to use to detect that the target has been shot at! What would you recommend and if you can send me a link to the sensor please.

a simple piezo attached behind the target could sense a vibration. if it's high enough then it means you've touched the target (google "piezo vibration sensor")

Thank you. Will a hard hit not cause 50 volts and fry the Arduino? Which resistor would you recommend for a 0-50 volt Piezo for example? Many thanks.
