Rename the FAQ? How frequently are the FAQ questions asked?

I was looking for the format codes for posts, and thought to click on

https://forum.arduino.cc/faq

It doesn't even state the questions it is answering:

  • Is this a civilized Place?
  • How should I move the discussion?
  • How should I talk to people?
  • Does the forum care about me?
  • What should I do if I find a problem?
  • How should I behave?
  • Should I make a mess?
  • Can i plagiarize?
  • Who posts stuff?
  • Am I agreeing to anything?

Instead of FAQ, I suggest renaming the tab on the header to "Conduct" or "Rules" or something else that doesn't mislead about its content.

Some items need a little more detials.

Thanks. I was trying to infer the implied questions to the given FAQ answers, because my first thought on reading the FAQ was "Who is asking these supposedly Frequently Asked Questions?"

And next was a search for bad faq

Which turned up :

In regard to the specific question that prompted my click on FAQ, I think the forum would be better is there was a '?' in the edit box that pointed to Arduino's flavor of discourse editing, which seems in some ways different than Discourse's flavor of editing.

FAQ can be good and bad.

Implementation is often the key factor.
Many can be stripped down to cover a more basic and easily digestible format.

Referring to a longer more complete version also has its place as some people need to understand past the basics.

But for this particular document at FAQ - Arduino Forum , if someone looked at the text of it without seeing the title (scroll it up just a bit), could anyone honestly classify it as a "FAQ"?

There use to be some section specific "FAQ" these were cut loose by Glados and replaced in a lot of cases with less than generic and sometimes non meaningful responses.
No rhyme or reason to the cutting loose or even a heads up.

Instead of FAQ they were "HOW TO" and covered some specific knowledge.
Not all the "how to" were generic.

Just two of many cases.

Welcome to the ONLINE EDITOR.pdf (649 KB)

CLEAN UP BEFORE INSTALLING ANOTHER COPY OF THE IDE OR ARDUINO CREATE.pdf (345 KB)

Importing sketches and libraries.pdf (285 KB)

These were often made with the participation or permission of Arduino staff.
And by staff I mean EMPLOYEES not contractors.

EDIT...
Yes I could trim them a little more, but with with the current admin they would not be allowed to remain or be useful floating around. The picture simply show how long ago they were made under SMF. No point making edits for them to be also changed with no form of heads up.
Or as was the case for so many redirected to a totally obsolete version by an admin aka GLADOS

They are just examples of SPECIFIC faq / how to.
Still worthwhile but crapped on from on high.

I've seen some of those, but they don't match the current editor.

doesn't look like my edit box:

The newly spelled out code tag icon doesn't wrap <CODE></CODE> around the selection. Where is a poster supposed to find out how to syntax highlight code with markdown like this?

    ```cpp
    ```

It sure ain't in the FAQ.

No point making changes with the current ADMIN !
Would only get lost somewhere or be incorrectly appropriated and no suitable "derivative" produced.

You can however see that they were quite specific even in the "fleshed out" state.
Zero point making a "thin" version either as that would still suffer the personal wrath of "Glados"

Thanks to this topic I finally got a severely missing badge: Read the community guidelines. Thanks.
Yes, I also think it should be renamed!
BTW: I need to change my behavior:
