Request: Arduino Yún original ART partition dump (Wi-Fi has no range)

Hi everyone,

I am trying to recover the Wi-Fi on my original Arduino Yún (AR9331). My original art partition was lost.

I successfully bypassed the MTD write lock using i_want_to_brick_my_device=1 and flashed an ART dump from a TP-Link TL-MR3020 (which uses a similar AR9331 chip). While the ath9k driver successfully initializes the radio, the Wi-Fi range is practically zero. The board only connects if the router is right next to it, and an external antenna does not fix it. This is due to the mismatched RF calibration and power tables between the MR3020 and the Yún board layouts.

I strictly need a genuine 64KB ART dump from a real Arduino Yún so the internal amplifiers are calibrated correctly.

If anyone with a working Yún could extract their ART partition for me, it would be a massive help. You can find the right partition block by running cat /proc/mtd, and then dump it using:
dd if=/dev/mtdX of=/tmp/yun_art.bin (replace X with your art partition number)

Please share the 64KB yun_art.bin file. I will manually patch my own MAC address into it before flashing.

Thank you!

Well another ART dump may get you out of trouble and approximately to where you need to be (probably in a better place than with the TP-Link driver), but as I understand it, the calibration data is unique to each individual board so its not necessarily going to be "correct" for your board. Hopefully it will be pretty close though.

Unfortunately I don't have a Yun, but maybe you could also try reaching out to Arduino support?
