RF remote control fixed code railing and fear of cloning

Hi everyone,
I installed armored roll-up railings that can be controlled with a fixed code RF e.go P 433.82 MHz remote control. Since these are security railings, unfortunately only now have I begun to doubt whether these remote controls can be easily cloned, even more so because they have a fixed code.

I wanted to ask you:

  1. Is it possible to clone them only with another device to pair by placing it near the current remote control?
  2. Are there other ways of cloning?
  3. Is it easy to unlock the control unit remotely without cloning the remote control?
4)Are rolling code remote controls much safer?

Thank you

Would it not be so much easier for someone to just buy another control?

If someone had enough time and skill, yes it would be possible.

However most RF gates etc have their own "key" set in the software, the likelihood of someone opening your gate is very small, most would look for another entry.

Ask the manufacturer of the armored railings about the security features built in to the remote control.

If they fail to give you a good answer or waffle at all, you could well have a problem.

Buying another control without cloning I am sure it doesn't work

I am not an expert. What is important to ask?

Thanks

What is the way to clone it?

Putting remote control closer and use a clonator or using a scanner from long distance

Figuring out the binary key by trial and error or a cloning tool.
Expensive hardware I presume.

Is this

fixed code RF e.go P 433.82

some product you purchased?

I took the link, I don't read Italian.

Please provide a link to the product.Where you bought it or a datasheet or whatever, or explain what it is you doing if hand made.

But google finds someone very busily presenting this problem to fora all over the place, woukd that be you?

It would be polite to say everywhere you post this inquiry that you are doing a wide distribution, involving dozens of unwitting helpers who are at a disadvantage and will no doubt be repeating advices given elsewhere.

If that is you, you are being rude. If it is just some coincidence, that is just some coincidence.

Italian, r/arduion, stack exchange, where else?

Don't worry about me, I got nothing on this. Just curious and bemused.

You can find two remotes in Amazon.it, that can clone about all fixed code and some rolling code remotes. WHY and PRATICO, both italians.

1No, you can do it from distance
2Yes
3No
4Yes

Hi,
this is the link

https://haso.it/prodotti/e-go/

I have purchased this products and i woul be sure is it safe considering has to protect my house

I am writing on different forum, i don't know why you are telling me it is no polite, please give me details so i can provide.

Are you referring only to reddit where i have done 3 posts, i don't know very well how reddit works, or other forum.

Different forum have different people who write and read, so i hope that writing on different forum i could have more answers

Thanks

So you bought receiver unit and remote control for fixed code?
It's not very safe. With inexpensive hardware I can clone it 100 meters from your house.

Give me the link to remote from your point if view

Thanks

Could you tell me what hardware could add remote control from 100 meters so I can buy and test it and send that proof to the company who sold me prodcuts

Good quality RTL-SDR with good antenna would be my first choice.
Flipper Zero with external CC1101 module could be an option.
Even just CC1101 module with esp32.
It depends a lot how much 433 traffic there is around, If you live in place saturated by 433 signals, it's going to be more difficult to catch and identify the "right one". Directional antenna might help.

There is no defect with your "product". There is no protection to be cloned in common fixed code rx/tx. Rolling code makes simple cloning impossible, because every signal is valid only once. If you send it and your receiver receives it, it's not valid anymore even if I cloned it.

Start by asking "what security features are built in to the remote control", and post the answer you get.
