trying to load 1.2.xx on windows 10. windows tells me I did not get the app from the app store. I knew that. it has no option for "do it your way" just round and round, click on the downloaded file, the OS refuses to let me. is there a way around this?
Sounds like you're in "S" mode..
google switching windows 10 out of s mode..
good luck.. ~q
Never heard of that. Thanks
As a workaround, the zip version might work.
- Download the zip version and extract it in a convenient place; no install required.
- Create a shortcut to the extracted IDE if desired.
- Create a file association if desired.
Windows might still throw some spanners in the wheel after that; I do not know.
Try Linux, it works!
Only if BRLTTY does not throw a spanner in the wheels. And you have made yourself a member of the correct group. And if you did not forget to log out / log in after that
I have used linux for years. I have half a dozen raspberry pis. if you need a laptop in a hurry in a small town you get windoze.
got the IDE working. changed the mouse from good luck finding me white, to almost visible black. trying to get lossless cut working. download is easy, install appears undocumented
With the risk of derailing the topic, ages ago (the days of DX4 processors, Windows 3.x) I had a PC with a Matrox G400 card and I could change the colour of the mouse pointer to a bright green. Still looking for that feature on my crappy 2nd gen I3 with some vague integrated Intel HD graphics.
