When you open a section you should see the "last" 3, or 4 topics in each sub forum in the overview:
Unfortunately the system will come up with old sticky posts also. Imho it is of better use, if we get real the posts with the last changes in the overview - like it is described in the header line.
P.S.: unpinning pinned topics is not a solution 
At 3 clicks per unpin, the unpinning pinned topics solution takes only 24 mouse clicks to make that screen show 200% more latest posts.
That's not a solution. That's a - not wanted - workaround.
As mentioned, I want to keep pinned topics pinned. There are good reasons to have pinned topics. But there is no good reason to list them on top in that kind of "latest" topics.
