Convert a Stand-Off from One Thread Type to Another
If you have a selection of threaded brass inserts, use these to modify an existing stand-off thread.
The following images show the easy process.
Simply compress the brass insert into the stand-off hole.
You may have to enlarge the hole to accept the brass insert.
You can also heat insert using a soldering iron.

Old Bic pens make nice stand-offs; add a brass insert to these too.
