Hello. I connected a 3.7v, 1200maH titan energy icr battery to the sim800l module. I can neither send nor receive sms with the module. We have 2g coverage though. When I put the battery on the module, the sim800l module flashes 7 times, then stops and repeats.
Your SIM is not valid... and your power supply is not supplying 2.4A of current.
if I were to buy an electrolytic capacitor and connect it to the vcc + gnd socket, would I be able to increase the current?
The capacitor is not increase a current, it only able to smooth it.
maybe it flashes 7 times because the current is not smoothed out?
