SIM800L GPRS GSM module

Hello,
From what I've read, I came to the conclusion that this SIM800L GPRS GSM is basically SIM900 but without the microphone and speaker.
Since I dont'feel the price difference is justified just by adding these 2 components, I was wondering - if I buy SIM800L and these two - Speaker - 0.5W (8 Ohm) - COM-09151 - SparkFun Electronics / Electret Microphone - COM-08635 - SparkFun Electronics

and attach them to the module, would it have the same effect ? What I mean to say is, does this module have some specific microphone/speaker requirements or those 2 are fine ?

they have laid it all out , on what is needed(to be done) to get the mic/speaker working
