Hello!
Got a great idea for a christmas gift that only need 1 led blinking with about 1s cycle. 1s on 1s off.
First idea was to usa an old arduino but then I thought that its too simple and started googling. But I can't seem to find a simple circuit that has the "that will work" feeling. So can someone please help me?
It will run off batteries.
1 led.
Components that I can find easily.
Will reveal my idea after Christmas!

Sounds like a job for a 555.
BTW, let me try to guess the idea.
Rudolf's nose?

Or, how about Nick Gammon's ATTiny gadget?
Thanks!
I knew it was simple but i couldn't fint that clear solution. This will be my first encounter with the 555.
No nose. You'll see...

There's a bunch of dead-bug 555 circuits around the net, ie the external components are soldered to the legs- makes it very small.

Nobody nose the trouble I've seen...

Feeling adventurous?
All you need are a couple of transistors, resistors, capacitors and you can make a flip flop astable oscillator..
Or with a 2n2222 and a capacitor you can also make an oscillator. (2n2222 specific)
So this was my idea.
A picture frame with retro Commodore 64 start screen!

Did the nerd that got it like it?
